I am struck by how hard it is to make the simplest of first steps. I need to lose weight, I need to get healthier and fitter so I can live to be 100 as I am planning! But I am over come with inertia, so I decided to approach this as I approach a knitting project, one row at a time.
The cast on row, is the foundation of any project, so it has to be strong. And you must use good tools, great needles and wonderful yarn to make the project successful. My tools for this are going to be simple, my dog, a shake diet, and my ( hopefully) strong will power.
Anyone who has a dog knows what an awesome workout partner they are. They are always ready to work out, and always want to. They never complain, will walk just as long as you will, and in my case will push me to walk faster. So I cast on, dog leash in hand trying to walk at least a mile a day. I have already started last week and so far, my stitches are lining up right.
